Who am I?

Hi fellow itchy soles! I am no writer, I am just a storyteller. Please bear with my flaws when it comes to writing, I just share my experience the way I would share it with a friend over a cup of tea or a pint of cider. I love to see new places and learn new things, and I blog about it for not what I have seen, but for what I have learnt. So, sorry to disappoint you, but this is not a travel blog about tips and planning. It is to inspire your hearts in some ways it did to mine. Xx

Kessutta! 🍻 One of the fears I’ve conquered through solo travelling was to dine in a restaurant or drink in a bar alone. I’m proud that I can do these things now even if I’m not travelling! 🙌 After this trip, I’m not afraid to sit with myself anymore. I’m not afraid anymore to listen to my thoughts and question my decisions. I’ve learned how to feel my pain because if I don’t, then I won’t be able to heal them. . #Greenlandicbeers #momentsofsolitude #mynorthernadventure

If I could find Filipinos in the remotest place on earth like in Antarctica, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ll find them in Greenland, too! 😂 I just met these OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) when I just overheard a familiar accent. I approached them and asked if they are Filipinos because they look a bit like some of the Greenlandic people. I thought I was wrong when all I got from them was a long stare 🤣 They said because they were not expecting a Filipino tourist because they know all the 60 Filipinos living in Ilulissat. They work in wool factories, seal butchers, and at bar & restaurants. Wow! 60 is a lot for a place with more dogs than its people! “There are no strangers in this world, only friends I haven’t met yet.” . . I never worry when I travel alone. Of course, sometimes I’m afraid because I’m a woman, and shit people sometimes take advantage of that. I also wish sometimes I had someone to share it with especially if I need to laugh at something! I never worry because that’s when you meet the most interesting people you will ever meet in this lifetime. It’s a very humbling experience and their stories always inspire me in many ways 💚 . . . That’s the closest I could find an igloo 😝 I did not stay here though, it’s just the view from my room! I stayed at Hotel Arctic, the world’s most northerly 4 star hotel. Glad I moved to this hotel after my first night at another hotel after following my gut that I had to move to Hotel Arctic. Because apart from they have upgraded my room to their newest suite, this is where I have met the best people I’ve met during this whole trip! 😍 #HotelArctic #IglooRooms #mynorthernadventure
