Cornflake Girl – Tori Amos

“Caught a Lite Sneeze” was the very first song I heard from Tori Amos. I bought her albums, “Boys for Pele” and my favorite  “Under the Pink” (coz I like most of the songs there). “Cornflake Girl” is one of those songs, it’s a song about a ritual of genital mutilation. You can find the erratic lyrics here.

What I love about Tori Amos is her musical style. Her background in classical piano and her soprano vocal range makes her unique from other alternative rock that came out during the 90’s, it is somehow dark and enchanting. She is still one of the best female pianist performers of our times in my opinion, I wonder why she didn’t get any Grammy’s on any of her nominations? Hmmmm…
